My 4-year-old spends a solid 30 minutes tracing letters on the dry-erase side while I make dinner, which is a small miracle. The board is sturdy enough that it hasn't tipped over once, even with her leaning on it.
The magnetic side holds the letter tiles really well, even when my four-year-old slaps them on. We've been using the dry-erase side for tracing practice, and it wipes clean with just a damp cloth. Keeps her busy for a solid half hour, which is saying something.
The chalk side wipes clean with just a damp cloth, which I didn't expect from a magnetic board. My four-year-old practices his uppercase letters on the dry-erase side while I quiz him with the magnets on the other. Two activities in one board keeps him busy way longer than I thought.
