Add & Subtract Abacus

The double-sided boards are a smart touch since my son can flip them over when he gets bored with one side. Sliding the beads back and forth has genuinely helped him with counting past 20, and the wooden pieces feel sturdy enough to survive a toddler.

My 4-year-old actually asks to play with this, which never happens with learning toys. The double-sided boards keep it fresh since we can flip from counting to patterns in one sitting.

My four-year-old spends a solid twenty minutes sliding the beads back and forth, and I love that flipping the wooden board over switches it from counting to simple subtraction. The colors make it easy to turn pattern games into little math lessons without her even noticing.
