The pages are sturdy enough for my 18-month-old to grab and poke without tearing, and she already points to the orange carrot and red strawberry on her own.
The popping dots are weirdly addictive, my 18-month-old goes straight for the carrot page every time. Only thing is a few of the dots are stiff and need a firm push, but she's getting there.
My toddler learned her colors way faster with this than with flashcards, mostly because the popping dots keep her hands busy while I name each one. The orange carrot page is her favorite. Only wish the book was a little longer for the price.
