My toddler used to squirm through story time, but now he reaches for this one every night just to pop the buttons on the fire truck page. The board pages are thick enough to survive his less gentle moments too.
My two-year-old is obsessed with the pop buttons on each page, and the emergency vehicle pictures keep him pointing and naming them. Only downside is the clicking gets loud on car rides, but it's worth it for how long it holds his attention.
The poking buttons make a satisfying click and the pages are definitely sturdy for rough handling. My three-year-old got bored after a few reads though, since every vehicle sounds the same. It’s fine for a quick distraction, just not something they reach for on their own.
