I got this for my 6-year-old and the double-sided design is genius — she does the orange forest and underground scene first, then flips it over for the pond and underwater side, so it's basically two puzzles in one. The seek-and-find part keeps her busy way longer than a regular 48-piece.
My niece finished the forest side and immediately flipped it over to hunt for the hidden fish in the pond scene. The double-sided design means one puzzle keeps her busy twice as long, which is a win. The 48 pieces are sturdy enough for how many times she's dumped them on the floor.
I grabbed this for a rainy afternoon and we ended up doing both sides twice. The seek-and-find part keeps my 6-year-old busy way longer than a normal puzzle, since she has to hunt for the little hidden critters after it's built.
