My two-year-old figured out the snapping blocks on day one, and now she builds little towers and calls them houses. The pieces click together firmly enough that her creations survive being knocked over, which is saying something.
The wood blocks have a nice weight to them and the snapping mechanism is forgiving enough that my 3-year-old can connect them without getting frustrated. We've built the little town setup three times already this week, and cleanup is easy since all 73 pieces fit back in the box.
