Melissa & Doug Blockables™ are connectable, stackable, and playable! The solid wood connect-and-play building blocks are perfect manipulatives to help preschoolers two and older boost developmental skills (fine motor, problem-solving, matching, storytelling, and self-esteem), while using their imaginations and having fun. Easy-to-grasp smooth, colorful wooden blocks fit together in a snap with large connectors that even little hands can push in and pull out. An illustrated guide shows how to arrange and link the Blockables™ to create multi-textured buildings and vehicles (car wash, drive-through, fire engine and station, traffic gate, recycling truck, taxi, police car, ambulance), or kids can use their imaginations to mix, match, and combine pieces to make unique figures and play their own way! Kids can easily expand their collection -- the 131-piece deluxe play set is compatible with all other Blockables™ play sets. Pieces attach to the removable wooden lid that doubles as a play surface, and store in the durable plastic bin for easy cleanup. Patent pending. Timothy E. ★★★★★

My three-year-old figured out how the pieces click together on his own, and now he builds little towers for his toy cars to drive through. The wood has a nice weight to it and the edges are smooth, so I don't worry when his one-year-old sister grabs a piece.

Victoria ★★★★★

These connect way better than the plain wooden blocks we had before — my three-year-old can actually stack a tower without it toppling every two seconds. The wood feels solid and the pieces are chunky enough that I'm not worried about my one-year-old mouthing them.

Olivia ★★★★☆

The solid wood blocks connect and stack way better than the plastic ones we had before, and my 2-year-old can actually pull them apart without help. Only gripe is the box, it doesn't hold everything once they're built into the city pieces.
