My 4-year-old spends a solid 20 minutes rotating the cubes in the wooden tray to get all six farm animals right, which is basically forever for him. The solid wood has held up fine after a few drops, and the border design on each cube actually helps him figure out which way to turn them.
The wooden cubes are chunkier than I expected, which makes them easy for little hands to grip and rotate. My son sat with it for almost an hour flipping through all six farm animals in the tray, and the pictures are bright enough to keep him interested.
My 3-year-old figured out the first farm animal within minutes and now begs to do "the cube game" every night. The solid wooden cubes have held up great even after being dropped on tile a dozen times, and I love that one toy gives us six different pictures to build.
